Zoom Ziplines

A few weeks ago, I spent the night with Craig Robinson…and about 100 other people at a comedy club.

He was at the Stress Factory for a two-night special, so my friends and I jumped at the chance to get tickets. To switch it up a bit, we even opted for the late show. Nothing like getting home at 2 AM, especially when you were ready for bed at 7 PM. That’s adult decision-making at it’s finest.

The show was awesome! Craig walked out with a very mellow vibe- eyes closed with a big smile on his face. He took a few minutes to get to know the audience and tell a couple jokes. It wasn’t until he started playing the piano, however, that the show really began. He covered everything from Christina Aguilera to the Rocky Theme Song, and encouraged the audience to join in. When it came to Take Your Panties Off, the crowd practically screamed. His stand-up was the perfect combination of jokes, music, and audience involvement. I highly suggest that you check him out, if you haven’t already.

I got up early the next morning and drove to Vernon, NJ to meet my friend Jen. It was time to go zip lining!

We booked our trip with Zoom Ziplines using Groupons we purchased online. For $55, my voucher included a two-hour tour and photo CD. Not a bad deal considering the CD alone would have cost $20. Good find, Jen!

One of my favorite things about the experience was our tour group. Everyone was really friendly and easy going. No one was glued to their phone or grouped off, which was a nice change of pace. Our tour guides were also great. Even though they had already directed three tours, I didn’t feel like they were ready to go home or “just doing their job.” They had a great sense of humor, which really helped when I got stuck over the lake and the guide had to come out to get me.

I constantly underestimate what New Jersey has to offer. I never thought I’d be going zip lining in Jersey of all places. Turns out, this state is ginormous and has more to offer than just pizzerias and shopping centers.
